I’m excited to share that, due to popular demand, my 2026 Nightscape Calendar is here — the fourth edition featuring some of my favorite images from across Nova Scotia. Each photo captures the magic of our night skies and coastal landscapes.

The calendar is 8.5 x 11 inches, printed locally on high-quality paper, ring-bound, and includes 12 professional-quality prints of my nightscape photography.

Calendars are $35 CAD each, with shipping in Canada included. Orders will ship in early December or once the Canadian postal strike is over.

Captured on a clear August night, just after Hurricane Erin had swept past Nova Scotia, the swells still crashing hard against the granite shore at Peggy’s Cove. The lighthouse glowed like a heartbeat beneath the Milky Way, standing strong against sea and sky.

One cold early morning in March 2023, as I climbed up an icy hill back to comfort of my car I asked myself if I was crazy. I reminded myself that I'm a nightscape photographer, and therefore the obvious answer is yes. Why was I asking myself this question at 5 o'clock this morning?
I had set my sights on capturing a photo of Paddy's Island, a sandstone formation that holds the last remaining sea arch in the North Medford Beach area. With so many natural landmarks disappearing due to erosion, I knew I had to act fast to capture this beautiful formation before it was too late.

But getting the perfect shot of Paddy's Island was no easy feat. It required the perfect alignment of the Milky Way with the island, clear skies, and specific moon cycles. And of course, the added challenge of the Bay of Fundy tides, this highest tides in the world, which make the island only accessible at select times. Determined to get the shot, and on the night when all the requirements fell into place, I woke up at 1:15am, drove for 75 minutes, and even scaled down a small waterfall in the dark to access the beach. The winds were howling, the temperatures were freezing, and the sand and mud underfoot had turned to ice. But I persevered, and I'm thrilled with the result. This photo captures the beauty of Paddy's Island and the Milky Way, and serves as a reminder of the power and wonder of nature

The Grand-Pré Memorial Church has stood as a symbol of resilience and faith for centuries. Built in 1922 to replace an earlier church destroyed in a fire, it stands on the site of one of the most significant events in Acadian history. Against the backdrop of the Milky Way, the church's Normandy-style architecture of the 1700s is nothing short of stunning. The stars overhead serve as a reminder of the connection between the earthly and the divine, and of the enduring power of hope and faith.

Polly’s Cove is one of my favourite locations for Milky Way Landscape Photography and is a breathtaking sight to behold at night. As the sun sets and darkness envelops the landscape, the rugged coastline becomes a canvas for the twinkling stars above. The crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean create a soothing rhythm that blends perfectly with the peaceful atmosphere. The air is crisp and clean, carrying the salty scent of the ocean.

It’s about an hour drive from Halifax to Polly’s cove and is located minutes from Nova Scotia’s iconic Peggy’s Cove.
The Milky Way lines up perfectly for this shot for only a few nights of the year, and I wasn’t about to miss it!
I arrived at this location at 3:30am. After a trek through the woods, I walked through the edge of the tree line to be greeted by this beautiful, rugged, open terrain, and spectacular seascape view. Polly's Cove at night is a true natural wonder that fills the heart and soul with a sense of tranquility and awe.
